Terms of Use

Last updated 1 November 2026

By using Ember you agree to these terms. If you got Ember from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies; from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply too.

In short

The details

What Ember is

Ember helps you see your subscriptions, what they cost and when they renew. It does not cancel, pause or pay for anything, and it is not financial advice. Amounts, dates, prices and exchange rates can be wrong or out of date, so check with the service itself before you rely on them.

Reminders

Reminders depend on your phone, its notification settings and services outside our control. We do our best to deliver every one, but we can't promise they all arrive, and we aren't responsible for a renewal you were charged for.

Ember Lifetime

The App Store and Google Play apps are free to download, with sample data and one subscription you add by hand. Importing (screenshots, statements, Gmail, sharing to Ember) and more subscriptions need Ember Lifetime: one payment, no further charges, restored on any device with the same Apple or Google account. There is no free trial.

Payment, refunds and restores are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. If a purchase is refunded, Ember goes back to the free version: your first subscription stays visible and the rest are hidden, not deleted, until you buy or restore Ember Lifetime again.

On the web, Ember is currently free and fully unlocked.

Your data

Your subscriptions live on your device, and you're responsible for keeping a copy (Settings → Data → Export) if you want one. How Ember handles data is in the Privacy Policy.

Fair use

Don't misuse Ember: no attacking or overloading its servers, reverse engineering them, or using it to break the law.

No warranty

Ember is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Ember.

Changes, law and contact

We may update Ember and these terms. If a change matters, the date above changes and the app says so. Using Ember after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Ember is made by Ajayi Feyikemi Mabel. For questions, write to ajayifey@gmail.com.
